Endpaper has a matching discoloration line from the DJ flap edge. Front free endpaper has a 1 inch chip at top corner. Red cloth panels are bright with black lettering on spine. Inside flap shows some discoloration along edge. DJ has a few small chips along edges and a small faint moisture cloud at bottom of backstrip that kind of blends in. Originally published in 1939, this copy was reprinted in a tiny quantity under original title before being pulled in 1972. This is the highly collectible DJ with 10 black characters, 2 holding a spear and one eating what appears to be a watermelon. The hand is white in color and the faded pink cover now looks cream so the contrast between the two has lessened. While the 10 little characters on the cover are clearly depicted, the hand which is reaching over to pluck off one of the characters has blended into the faded background color unless you look closely. DJ has Purple lettering on a faded pink cover. Hardcover with ORIGINAL DUSTJACKET with price intact on the flap. This copy is from the Motion Picture starring Barry Fitzgerald, Walter Huston and Louis Hayward. Adapted numerous times for film, radio, stage, and television. AND THEN THERE WERE NONE is the world's best-selling mystery and one of the best-selling books of all time. Originally published in the UK by The Crime Club with a racist term in the title. There is a closed tear across the front of the dust jacket. There are four small pieces of tape affixed to the reverse of the dust jacket to close tears. The bottom piece does not affect the publisher. The top piece takes out the upper half of AGATHA. There is a piece missing from the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is only Very Good and has not been price clipped, 100100. The book has spotting on the front and rear panel of the binding. Full page stills from the movie on the front and rear endpapers a frontispiece and several stills inside. Book has blue cloth boards with a light blue title block and gold design.
